Thirty years of jamming with systems — algorithms, game controllers, delay lines, anything that talks back. isomofo is where the experiments get finished: pressed, packaged, shipped.
A label that puts out devices. A software house that puts out records. The distinction never mattered in the studio, so we've stopped pretending it matters at the counter.
An effect is something you set and forget. An instrument is something you perform. We only make the second kind — of everything. The records are performances of systems; the software turns your hands back into the system. Same loop, read from either end.

First device: a stereo delay you play with both hands. Two time-lines, cross-fed; lean on it and it bites; hit it soft and the tails spiral between time-worlds. Requires Ableton Push, by design — if it loaded with a mouse it would become an effect again.
